"I was born and raised in the industrial city of Ulyanovsk and graduated from the local Technical University. My path was set to become an automotive engineer, but just before graduation, I had a transformative encounter with product design. It was a revelation that captivated me, sparking a deep appreciation for the aesthetics of details, surfaces and joints. More importantly, it led me to embrace a holistic design philosophy that combines every aspect of product creation.

My primary inspirations are art and engineering, both past and present. I draw on my engineering background to craft unique solutions that go beyond mere physical form, creating objects that provoke new sensations in a delicate and intelligent way. I'm deeply fascinated by space history, the architecture of Vladimir Shukhov, and the intelligent space design in Tarkovsky's films, along with many other influences."
Yaroslav draws inspiration from art, philosophy, traditional techniques, industrial and new technologies, striving to combine these directions. Throughout his career, Yaroslav has held various roles, advancing from a junior designer in a small company to a chief designer in a larger firm. Today, alongside with his work at
KB-Rassadin and as co-founder of the
Bobber brand, he continues to collaborate with studios and companies as a consultant and freelance art director on various projects.
